Release form for photographing students and their artwork

 I understand that the Art Education Department at Maine College of Art & Design places teacher candidates in classrooms as a crucial part of the educational program that leads to Maine certification as a PK–12 visual art teacher. Part of the preparation includes observing students and the approaches they take to making art, including photographs of their artwork in process and as final product.


By signing this form I understand and acknowledge the following:

  • My child and my child’s artwork may be photographed.
  • Those photographs are the property of the College and may be used for instructional and informational purposes, including the teacher candidate’s e–Portfolio, website, classroom use and presentations for professional development.
  • Such application shall be limited to those uses by Maine College of Art & Design in furtherance of its non-profit educational objectives.
  • Maine College of Art & Design has a non-exclusive right and I will not receive any compensation for such use.
  • The identity of my child will remain anonymous and no direct photos of his/her face will be selected for presentational use without parental approval.
  • I have read this form in its entirety and understand it.
